Win a signed Wolves shirt on the vaccine bus

To encourage people to have their Covid-19 vaccinations, Wolverhampton Wanderers FC are giving away a signed shirt whilst the vaccine bus is at the Molineux Stadium this week

The vaccine bus will be in the Stan Cullis Stand car park (opposite Asda) at Wolverhampton Wanderer’s Molineux Stadium tomorrow (Thursday 7 July) between 1pm and 7pm and then from Friday (8 July) until Sunday (11 July) between 11am and 6pm.

Anyone aged 18 or over can get their first or second doses of the life-saving Covid-19 vaccination, without needing to book an appointment. Both Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines are available.

Whilst the vaccination bus is at the Molineux Stadium anyone who has a vaccination there will have the chance to enter a prize draw to win a Wolverhampton Wanderers football shirt signed by the team ahead of the start of the new football season.

Councillor Jasbir Jaspal, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Cabinet Member for Public Health and Wellbeing, said: “I want to say thank you to Wolves for supporting our efforts to protect the city and helping to make sure that as many people as possible have their Covid-19 vaccinations.”

“Having the Covid-19 vaccine protects you and those around you from the virus, so the chance to win a signed shirt too is an added bonus and a great prize for Wolves fans.”

“Anyone who has not yet had their vaccinations can come along and get them whilst the bus is at the Molineux Stadiu

Wolves head of medical services, Matt Perry, said: “Ahead of the start of the new season we want as many people as possible to have their Covid-19 vaccinations, so we can get back to enjoying football at the Molineux safely.

“We’re pleased to be able to support the vaccination programme in Wolverhampton and hope local people will come to Molineux to get their jabs if they haven’t had them already.”

Latest figures show there were 206.9 new cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 people in Wolverhampton over the seven days to 5 July. That means 544 people in the city tested positive for the virus in that seven day period – though the true number of new cases will likely be higher.
