The Saddlers Shopping Centre in Walsall is undergoing a makeover as part of the redevelopment of Walsall town centre, so what can shoppers expect over the festive period?
Work is currently underway to renovate the downstairs area of the Saddlers Centre, with improvements expected to be complete early in 2025. During this time, the shopping centre is open for business as usual with existing shops unaffected.
The town centre work will be completed in phases to minimise disruption. The upstairs section of the shopping centre will be closed for renovation early in 2025 with businesses to be relocated downstairs for the duration of that phase of work.
People travelling to and from Walsall by train will still be able to access the railway station as normal over the Christmas break and throughout the redevelopment.
Councillor Adrian Andrew, Associate Leader of Walsall Council, said: “Walsall town centre is open for business as usual and work has been planned in phases to minimise disruption for shoppers.
“I’d like to thank residents and businesses for their continued patience and support as we continue to transform our town centre.”
