City of Wolverhampton's Bantock House Museum will see the return of the popular Antiques and Collectors Fair on Sunday 4 July.
The fair returns after an absence of 16 months due to the impact of the pandemic. The event will be staged outdoors in the Rose and Side gardens to enable social distancing and to safely comply with Covid restrictions.
The event runs from 9am to 3.30pm and entry to the fair is £1.50 per person, with under 16s free.
Refreshments will be available from the courtyard cafe which is open from 9am to 5pm, last drinks orders at 4.30pm.
Councillor Stephen Simkins, the City of Wolverhampton Council Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for City Economy, said: “We are pleased to be working with the organisers to bring these regular fairs back to Bantock House Museum. Everyone has worked very hard to ensure the safety of our visitors and the exhibitors is of the highest standards and this will continue to be our top priority.
“Bantock is a wonderful historic house with beautiful gardens and will provide the perfect backdrop for the return of this event. It is a great opportunity to pick up a fantastic treasure for yourself or a gift or two for someone else.”
Organiser Vicky Rowson added: "We are thrilled to be back at Bantock House. The fairs have been greatly missed by us, antique traders and the visitors, many of whom have been calling to ask when we would be back.
We've been receiving calls since last summer! It's fantastic that we can finally give the answer they've all been waiting for.
“We can't wait to welcome everyone, it's outdoors initially so that we can follow all Government Covid-19 guidelines and we are pleased now everything is in place."
Entrance to the rest of Bantock House Museum, set in 43 acres of spectacular outdoor green space off Finchfield Road (WV3 9LQ), is free as normal. There is a booking system in place to enable visitors to book a self-guided tour – available every 20 minutes – so that individuals and family groups can enjoy the house safely within their own bubble.
