Throughout the day knights will also demonstrate the variety of weapons and combat methods used during medieval skirmishes.

A first for this event, the Community Games will be in the grounds all day to offer a variety of activities from local providers and clubs helping to create opportunities for everybody to try new sporting activities in a fun and friendly environment. “For the first time, we welcome The Community Games and The Knights of Nottingham which offer opportunities and activities for everybody to get involved in during the day, regardless of age or ability. It is the perfect chance to re-live history and join in with the fun and excitement of the festival.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming lots of people to the town for the celebrations again this year from 11am. Due to the popularity of this event, we would encourage visitors to arrive early and use public transport if possible.”
