This week’s Covid-19 walk-in clinics in Wolverhampton

This week there are 15 walk-in Covid-19 vaccination clinics open around Wolverhampton.

Clinics are open every day, with single doses of the Pfizer vaccine for 16 and 17 year olds, and most have first and second doses of Pfizer or AstraZeneca, depending on age, for people over 18 too.

Councillor Jasbir Jaspal, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Cabinet Member for Public Health and Wellbeing, said: “Walk-in clinics are open every day around the city and most accept people aged 16 or over.

“More than 325,000 doses have been administered in Wolverhampton so far, helping to protect people from serious illness caused by the virus. But, around one in four people in the city who are eligible have not yet had their vaccines and do not have this protection.

“If you haven’t had your first dose yet, or are over 18 and due your second one, please go along to your nearest walk-in centre and get vaccinated as soon as you can.”

The latest figures show there were 290.5 new cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 people in Wolverhampton over the last seven days. That means 764 people in the city tested positive for the virus in that same period – though the true number of new cases will likely be higher.
