People are being invited to take part in an online engagement session to help shape their local Healthwatch organisation.
The City of Wolverhampton Council is encouraging people to have their say about Healthwatch Wolverhampton, which champions the views of local people who use health and social care services.
Healthwatch Wolverhampton is responsible for ensuring that local voices are heard and people’s views and experiences are used to improve existing services and to help shape future provision. It also works to ensure that action is taken to resolve concerns and problems in relation to services, and prevent them from arising again.
The current Healthwatch Wolverhampton contract is due for renewal on 1 April 2022, and the council wants to hear from local people, including those working in health and social care, service users and their families and carers to help shape and enhance the service.
People can get involved by completing an online survey available at https://bit.ly/3u7wU4c until 24 June. In addition, people can join an online session on Wednesday 26 May from 2-3pm or Thursday 3 June from 5-6pm. Places are limited and people are asked to book their slot by emailing people.commissioning@wolverhampton.gov.uk by Thursday 29 April.
Emma Bennett, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Director of Children's and Adult Services, said: "Healthwatch Wolverhampton has a cruicial role to play in ensuring the city's health and social care services are of the highest standards, and so it is equally important that the organisation itself is the best that it possibly can be.
"Please take a few moments to have your say about Healthwatch Wolverhampton and help shape the service going forward."
