Return of the Wolverhampton Local History Fair

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Wolverhampton Local History Fair is returning to the Molineux Hotel Building on Saturday 19 November, 10am to 4pm.

Confirmed exhibitors include:

  • Midland Ancestors
  • Wednesfield History Society
  • The Western Front Association
  • Archaeology in Mind (AiM)
  • Moseley Old Hall
  • The Museum of Wolverhampton and South Staffordshire Trust
  • The Lace Guild

Councillor Stephen Simkins, City of Wolverhampton Council Cabinet Member for City Economy, said:

"As a council, we are proud to support and see the return of the Wolverhampton Local History Fair and I very much encourage everyone to go along if they can.

“The Local History Fair is a great opportunity for local residents to discover our city's fascinating past. Wolverhampton Archives and Local Studies houses a wealth of material relating to the history of all parts of the city, including Bilston, Bushbury, Tettenhall and Wednesfield.

"They will also be able to speak to experts who have carried out wide ranging research into the history of Wolverhampton and the Black Country and find out more about the service that Wolverhampton Archives and Local Studies offers."

The Friends of Wolverhampton Archives will be providing tea, coffee, cakes and other refreshments for a small contribution, and there will be a series of family friendly activities for children as well.

Entry to the Wolverhampton Local History Fair on Saturday 19 November, from 10am to 4pm, is £2 for adults and £1 for children. No booking is required - simply turn up on the day.
