Boundaries for constituencies in the borough of Walsall have changed since the last General Election following a recent UK parliamentary boundary review by the Boundary Commission.
Most constituencies will have new boundaries and names.
Walsall Council is now responsible for two constituencies: Walsall and Bloxwich, and Aldridge-Brownhills. Previously, the council was responsible for three constituencies: Walsall North, Walsall South and Aldridge-Brownhills.
The new Walsall and Bloxwich constituency joins together parts of two former constituencies, Walsall North and Walsall South.
The Aldridge-Brownhills constituency has had its area enlarged to include 100 per cent of the previous constituency and part of the former Walsall South constituency.
This means that local residents in the wards of Willenhall South, Willenhall North, Bentley and Darlaston North, Darlaston South and Short Heath will receive a polling card and postal vote from the City of Wolverhampton Council. These votes will count towards the constituencies of Wolverhampton South East and Wolverhampton North East.
Voters can check their constituency by using this map and picking a current constituency and comparing it with the new boundary.
Emma Bennett, Acting Returning Officer and Chief Executive of Walsall Council, said, “The boundaries of our constituencies have changed due to the recent boundary review, and this means that some of our residents will be voting in a constituency that is shared by both Walsall and Wolverhampton Councils.
“It’s important that residents register to vote before the closing date of midnight on Tuesday 18 June, and all our residents can contact the Election Office at Walsall Council if they have any registration queries.”

Poll cards began to be delivered to registered electors from Wednesday 5 June 2024. Residents do not need their poll card to be able to vote.
There are 122 polling stations across the borough. Visit the national postcode finder at https://wheredoivote.co.uk/ to check the location of your polling station.
If you have not received a poll card by Friday 14 June 2024, and wish to check that you are registered, please contact the Election Office.
Residents who have registered for a postal vote will normally get their ballot papers between 5 to 10 days before the date of the General Election.
