More Covid-19 walk-in vaccination clinics are open around Wolverhampton this week, as people in the city are urged to get vaccinated as soon as they can.
There are over 30 walk-in vaccination clinics open across the city again this week, offering first and second doses of the lifesaving vaccine to anyone over the age of 18.
Locations include Bradley Methodist Church in Bilston, Aldersley Leisure Village, and Boots the Chemist in the Mander Centre, along with GP’s surgeries and medical practices such as Woodcross Health Centre and Keats Grove Surgery. In addition, the vaccine bus will be in West Park from Thursday until Sunday this week.
Councillor Jasbir Jaspal, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Cabinet Member for Public Health and Wellbeing, said: “We have more than 30 walk-in vaccination clinics open around the city this week, where anyone aged 18 or over can get their life-saving coronavirus vaccines without needing to book. First and second doses are available, as long as there is a gap of eight weeks between them. Every clinic has stock of Pfizer vaccine and most have AstraZeneca too.
“Clinics are open across Wolverhampton seven days a week, but times and location vary, so please check the website for the latest information and vaccine types available.”

Latest figures show there were 312.5 new cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 people in Wolverhampton over the last seven days. That means 822 people in the city tested positive for the virus in that same period – though the true number of new cases will likely be higher.
