Local businesses invited to an innovative robotic technology event

A business which benefitted from Tamworth Borough Council’s SERCO-partnered programme is set to host an event tomorrow to promote innovative robotic technology.

WMH Robotics, who received support in funding, upskilling, and training their staff via the Skills Support for the Workplace (SSW) SERCO programme, are inviting Tamworth businesses and individuals to learn more about the robotic arms available and the strategic human-robot partnerships COBOT, with live demonstrations and advice on career path progression.

As part of the morning breakfast and coffee networking event, visitors will be able to look at how WMH Robotics has invested in training their staff to continue their development.

WMH Robotics will be presenting the event alongside SSW and Business Development Midlands Ltd (BDM) and has several opportunities available for people looking for a different career path – with apprentices even progressing into managerial posts.

The Tamworth-based automation company is being supported in this by SSW via BDM in a bid to upskill their staff and making them capable of moving up into leadership and management positions.

The event has three main aims, which include:

Open the doors of the facility to the local community to increase awareness of robotic technology
Highlight the investment in staff WMH Robotics have made and are continuing to make with training centres currently being developed on site
Demonstrate robot arms “in action” whilst giving visitors an opportunity to network and have a coffee.

The event will be held at 2 Centurion Way, Wilnecote, Tamworth B77 5PN between 8.30am – 11am.
