Help shape your local Healthwatch organisation

The City of Wolverhampton Council is encouraging people to have their say about Healthwatch Wolverhampton, an organisation which champions the views of local people who use health and social care services.

Healthwatch Wolverhampton is responsible for ensuring that local voices are heard and people’s views and experiences are used to improve existing services and to help shape future provision. It also works to ensure that action is taken to resolve concerns and problems in relation to services, and prevent them from arising again.

The current Healthwatch Wolverhampton contract is due for renewal on 1 April 2022, and the council wants to hear from local people, including those working in health and social care, service users and their families and carers to help shape and enhance the service.

Emma Bennett, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Director of Children's and Adult Services, said: "Healthwatch Wolverhampton has a cruicial role to play in ensuring the city's health and social care services are of the highest standards, and so it is equally important that the organisation itself is the best that it possibly can be.

"Please take a few moments to have your say about Healthwatch Wolverhampton and help shape the service going forward."

People can get involved by completing an online survey available at https://bit.ly/3u7wU4c until 24 June. In addition, there is an opportunity for people to share their views through online sessions that will be held on 26 May from 2-3pm and 3 June from 5-6pm.

For further information about the consultation or to book onto either session, please email people.commissioning@wolverhampton.gov.uk. Please note that places for the online sessions are limited and the deadline for booking onto them is 29 April.
