Get ready to splash! Tettenhall Pool reopens for fun

Residents looking for a splashing time will be delighted to know that City of Wolverhampton Council has reopened Tettenhall Pool for the summer.

The popular pool is open to visitors after water safety checks were carried out.

The council looks after Tettenhall Pool, and over the years it has attracted many visitors from across the city and proven to be extremely popular during the school holidays.

Anyone looking forward to visiting the pool is being encouraged to enjoy the water safely and to be considerate to local residents and other users.

Councillor Craig Collingswood, cabinet member for city environment and climate change at City of Wolverhampton Council, said: “Tettenhall Pool is hugely popular during the warmer weather and we’ve been getting it ready for plenty of summer fun.

“We’re already starting to see some lovely weather and hopefully there will be more warm days to come. So I’d like to remind people of the importance of wearing hats and sunscreen while taking a dip – and do make sure you wear suitable clothes and shoes.

“Please also be considerate to local residents when you visit the pool and take your litter away with you. Remember, if you’re bringing your dog, please make sure they are kept under control, on a lead and out of the water.”

Tettenhall Pool will be available for splashing until September 11.
