People who want to retrain so they can take a new direction, bolster their job prospects or improve their health and wellbeing are being urged to consider taking a course with Adult Education Wolverhampton.
It is holding online open days over the next few weeks and is inviting prospective students to find out about the courses it is offering from January 2021.
People will be able to speak directly with teachers and members of the student services team to discover more about studying with Adult Education Wolverhampton.
Councillor Dr Michael Hardacre, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, said: “Adult Education Wolverhampton offers a range of high quality courses which can help you train for a specific career, while its Access to Higher Education courses will put you on a fast track to university.
“You can also take courses to help you brush up on your English and maths skills or build your personal confidence.
“Thousands of students take part in learning at Adult Education Wolverhampton every year, and in the last national survey 98% of students said they would recommend it to their friends and family.
“So, whether you want to improve your skills, want to get back into the learning routine or simply want to connect with new people, please join one of the online open days to find out how Adult Education Wolverhampton can help you.”

Courses starting in January 2021 include L1 Community Interpreting, L2 Dyslexia Awareness, Digital Skills, Maths, English, First Aid, Supported Internships and Supported Employment Programmes (for students with learning disabilities), Like Minds (for improved mental health), L1 Art, It’s Child’s Play, L4 Certificate for Higher Level Teaching Assistants, L3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, Keeping Safe Using the Internet, and L1 Award in Understanding Employment, Business and Enterprise.
Courses starting in February 2021 include L2 Support Work in Schools, L2 Health and Social Care, L1 Child Development, It’s Child’s Play, L3 Access to HE (Social Science, Music Technology, Business and Law), L2 Pre-Access Health, L3 British Sign Language, Beginner’s Sewing and Textiles, Beginner’s Floristry, Beginner’s Cake Decorating, ESOL, Stay Active and Healthy, Stay Active with Creativity, Learn to Sew, Wedding Flower Arranging, Design and Make Paper Jewellery.
