New videos including extensive drone footage showing the scale and splendour of Walsall Arboretum from above have been released by Walsall Council this week.
The Arboretum is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year and a celebratory event takes place on Saturday 4 May 2024 from 12 midday to 7pm.
From walkways to wildlife with Victorian architecture and play areas, there's lots to explore at the arboretum and this footage captures it all.
The Arboretum sits on over 170 acres of land with over 10,000 shrubs and trees, including some of the most ancient trees in the country, and Hatherton Lake.
Jaki Brunton-Douglas, Healthy Spaces team manager at Walsall Council, said, “Residents and visitors can now experience the beauty of this historic park from a breathtaking aerial perspective. We hope these visuals will inspire people to come and see it for themselves and experience the Arboretum's magic.”
