Business Week putting Wolverhampton in the spotlight

City of Wolverhampton is gearing up for its annual business spotlight, offering in-person events and online webinars to highlight opportunities to businesses and investors.

Details are available at www.investwolverhampton.com/businessweek and businesses are urged to register to take advantage of these free events.

The city’s annual Business Week will run from Monday, September 27 to Friday, October 1 and will provide a platform to engage with businesses by showcasing the opportunities available now and in the future through multi-million-pound investment and developments.

The showpiece event of the week is the city’s annual Business Breakfast, the most important business conference of the year, on Tuesday, September 28, 8am – 9.45am, at the Grand Station events and conference venue in Wolverhampton.

The theme for the breakfast is ‘Wolverhampton: The next investment destination’ and will be hosted by Midlands Business Insider featuring a respected line-up of speakers.

Speakers include Matt Thurstan, Director General – Chief Finance Officer from Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities; Tim Johnson, Chief Executive at City of Wolverhampton Council; Hayleigh Lupino, Finance Director at Marston’s; Simon Underwood, Chief Executive at Elements Europe; Steve Parry, MD at ION Developments; Ninder Johal, Chair of the Wolverhampton Towns Deal Board; Jamie Phillips, Partner at Knight Frank and Bob Tattrie, Managing Partner at Trebor Developments.

Businesses in the visitor economy sector can find out about the city’s plans to grow as an events city, stimulate economic growth and increase city centre footfall at the online event  ‘Wolverhampton: the next visitor destination’ on Wednesday, September 29, 12.30pm – 1.30pm, hosted by Movers and Shakers Property Networking Club.

And there is a unique opportunity for local businesses, traders and entrepreneurs to quiz Wolverhampton’s Economic Growth Board members and Wolverhampton Business Champions on the secrets of their success at a webinar on Thursday, September 30, 8am – 10am. This open online Q&A session will facilitate lively debate and discussion on the hottest and most relevant business topics of the moment.
