Adult Education Wolverhampton has launched a laptop loan scheme to support students who are unable to access online learning and resources from home.
Resources are limited and are offered on a first come first served basis. Current Adult Education Wolverhampton students who require support are asked to contact the Student Services team on 01902 558180.
Councillor Dr Michael Hardacre, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, said: “With the country in another lockdown because of the coronavirus pandemic, it’s even more important that people are able to connect with one another to stay in touch, for learning and even for basic needs such as shopping or paying bills.
“We all need to be able to interact with others and the best way we can do this at the moment is online.
“We have been pleased to have been able to continue offering remote learning throughout lockdown and we want to ensure that the digital divide doesn’t leave any of our learners disadvantaged.
“So, we are pleased to be able to support learners who find themselves in this situation through our laptop loan scheme and I would encourage them to get in touch if they need equipment to continue their learning journey.”
